The Maughan Family

I just love this family! We have been neighbors and friends for eight years now. I couldn't ask for better neighbors, they have helped us tremendously since we've lived here but especially since the triplets. We couldn't have done it without them. Their oldest son just got home from a mission and their next son is getting ready to go. I was so excited when they asked me to do their family pictures. I don't think I could ever repay them for their service to our family but hopefully this helps. I felt like I was photographing a magazine cover they are so photogenic, not to mention the beautiful location they picked out! I hope you love them guys!

She's my diva...

The other day, after church, Ellah put my shoes on. She worked it! I could not believe that she could walk in these 3 in. stilettos. I can't even walk in them...lol. She is also learning that she loves to be in front of the camera, whenever I bring it out she just poses her heart out. This time she walked back and forth turned around and posed. I felt like I was the Photographer at the end of the catwalk...what a girl. She keeps me on my toes.

It's a Marshmellow World...

I guess, maybe, sometimes, I like the snow, but only in two instances. 1. When it is freshly fallen and the kids get to play in it. 2. When I'm on the slopes. Other than that I really hope that winter goes away fast. Today we bundled up the kids and took them out to play. This was their first experience in the snow.

Maddox was loving it......

Mason wanted nothing to do with it. He wined and complained the whole time. Such a funny boy.

Carter is completely in his element

Love when they are all bundled.

Thanksgiving 2009

Good times on Thanksgiving this year........

Kids were all sick.

We had to isolate ourselves from the outside world.

I made my first Thanksgiving dinner.

Babies took a nap.

We took Ellah to the ER.

Good Times Indeed.

I'm guessing you are all going to want an explanation on the "Ellah going to the ER" bit. A few months ago Ellah experienced her first (that we know of) Febrile Seizure. Click on the link to learn more. Basically, when she gets a high fever and a virus she has a Seizure. It is the hardest thing in the world as a mother to watch happen. I had never seen anyone have a Seizure before, so the first time it happened I called 911 because she was turning blue and acting like she was choking on something. This time, I walked in on her having one in her crib, right after a nap. I called Jared (Thank GOODNESS he was home) He grabbed her and we held her, it wasn't going away. So for reassurance, and some support, while she was experiencing this seizure, I called 911 again. I am so grateful for people who dedicate their lives to help others. People who have to sacrifice their Thanksgiving for their job helping people. LOVE THEM. Anyway, everytime she has a seizure they recommend going to the hospital to get checked out. The Paramedics said they highly recommended it because her breathing was extremely raspy. So we took her to the ER. They gave her a breathing treatment and some type of cortisone for her lungs. They diagnosed her as having Croup and Bronchiolitis.
On Monday, I'm going to be following up with her pediatrician. There is a medication that she can take on the onset of a fever to prevent a seizure from happening. (since she's had two in 2 months). She is doing fine. We have wonderful family, and loving friends who care for our family on a daily basis. Thank you for your prayers and concern....we love all of you! On this particular Thanksgiving I am especially grateful for my family and the life and health we share together.

For Kim...

I felt so lucky to be able to photograph this sweet little guy. His mom watched Carter for me when I was expecting the triplets and I'm so glad I was able to finally do something for her. He was such an alert baby, he wanted to know what was going on at all times. After marking his territory (alot) haha... he did finally give up for us. He was such a good baby. Thanks for trusting me with your memory of him, he is a doll.....Congrats Kim and Chad!!
